DRAM 1330 - Stagecraft I3 credit hours. 3 lecture hours. 2 lab hours. An introduction to the fundamentals of technical theater. Basic techniques of play production including scenery design and construction, make-up, costuming, properties, and lighting.
Measurable Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the role of design in dramatic storytelling.
- Contribute to and participate in the collaborative process of theatre production.
- Meet the incremental deadlines associated with production.
- Learn the fundamentals of theatre protocol.
- Learn the mechanics and operation of theatrical equipment.
- Participate in the basic operation of the theatre, including house, box office, stage management, and general maintenance.
