DMSO 2405 - Sonography of Obstetrics and Gynecology(4:3-3-0) credit hours. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or higher in each of the following courses: or DMSO 1261 , DMSO 2441 , DMSO 1361 and DMSO 2351 Detailed study of the pelvis and obstetrics/gynecology as related to scanning techniques, patient history and laboratory data, transducer selection, and scanning protocols. This course has a lab.
Additional Fees: Lab fee $24
Measurable Learning Outcomes: Identify the sonographic appearances of normal and abnormal female pelvis; identify normal and abnormal obstetrical findings’ demonstrate appropriate scanning techniques using standard protocols; evaluate patient history and laboratory data as it relates to ultrasound; and select appropriate transducer for area of interest.
