AS CHEM can lead to university transfer for a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with Teaching Certification in Chemistry or Physical Science. AS CHEM is also ideal for students interested in pre medical, dental, pharmacy, or veterinary programs. AS CHEM students interested in these bachelor’s degrees must work with an academic advisor or Chemistry department chair to determine transferrable coursework.

First Year Fall
Meet with academic advisor or department chair to obtain copy of transfer university degree plan and to determine G.P.A. needed to transfer to desired university.

First Year Spring
Schedule a campus tour with the transfer university.

First Year Summer
The following course may also be taken during any Fall or Spring semester.
- Choose from Social/Behavioral Science Core 3 credit hours (FY) 2
Second Year Fall
Come talk to an advisor about your Temple college graduation and your university specific transfer courses.
Confirm courses for completion of AS degree. Start applying for admission to transfer university and send first official transcript to transfer university.
Semester Credit Hours: 14
Second Year Spring
Come talk to an advisor about your Temple college graduation and your university specific transfer courses.
Apply for graduation for AS Chemistry. Confirm admission to transfer university, and send final official transcript to transfer university at end of semester.
1st 8 Week Classes
- Choose from Language, Philosophy, Culture Core 3 credit hours 2 (FY)
2nd 8 Week Classes
- Creative Arts Core 3 credit hours. 2 (FY)

1 Must successfully complete the course in order to progress in the AS Chemistry degree.
2 Meet with an academic advisor or department chair to discuss degree requirements and university specific transfer courses for your transfer university.
FY = Course will be offered on a continuous basis so that a student can take the course in any fall or spring.
Important Note: AS CHEM students are strongly encouraged to complete the following courses prior to transfer: MATH 2415
