KINE 2112 -  Advanced Jogging/Walking/Fitness

Prerequisites: KINE 1112  
The Jogging/Walking/Fitness course is designed to improve or maintain the student’s cardiovascular endurance and knowledge of cardiovascular fitness such as heart rates, body mass index and body fat percentage according to the student’s age, gender, height and weight.

A fee of $8 is charged for each Kinesiology Activity course in which a student is enrolled. (Courses in each activity area must be taken in sequence.)

Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Define aerobic and anaerobic exercise and recognize the difference. Identify the components of cardiovascular system, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance and body composition. Identify the components of frequency, duration and intensity. Understand the role of proper nutrition and hydration in an individual exercise program. Develop a working knowledge of developing a physical fitness program.
