DSAE 2437 - Cardiac Sonography Pathophysiology II 4 credit hours. 2 lecture hours. 4 lab hours. 0 clinical hours. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or higher in all courses from previous semester. R W M A continuation of Cardiac Sonography Pathophysiology I with emphasis on cardiovascular disease. A discussion of quantitative measurements and application of 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler. Recognition of the sonographic appearances of select cardiovascular disease is stressed. Additional Fees: Lab fee $24; ASE Comprehensive Sonography Curriculum Resource fee $150 Measurable Learning Outcomes: Evaluate the etiology, signs and symptoms, treatment, and sonographic features of select cardiovascular disease; and integrate criteria for recognition, evaluation, and quantification.
