DSAE 1440 - Diagnostic Electrocardiography

Cardiac testing including techniques and interpretation of patient physical assessment. Covers electrocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, vital signs, and cardiovascular pharmacology.

Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate non-invasive cardiac testing procedures; perform a physical exam to include vital signs, patient assessment and history; identify basic dysrhythmias; describe treatment methods including pharmacologic agents; identify indications, contraindications, action, and side effects of generic and brand name cardiovascular drugs.
