DSAE 1440 - Diagnostic Electrocardiography 4 credit hours. 2 lecture hours. 4 lab hours. 0 clinical hours. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” of higher in all courses from previous semester. R W M Cardiac testing including techniques and interpretation of patient physical assessment. Covers electrocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, vital signs, and cardiovascular pharmacology. Additional Fees: Lab fee $24 Measurable Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate non-invasive cardiac testing procedures; perform a physical exam to include vital signs, patient assessment and history; identify basic dysrhythmias; describe treatment methods including pharmacologic agents; identify indications, contraindications, action, and side effects of generic and brand name cardiovascular drugs.
