RNSG 1251 - Care of the Childbearing Family 2 credit hours. 2 lecture hours. 0 lab hours. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or higher in each of the following courses: RNSG 2201 , RNSG 2460 . Corequisites: RNSG 2461 . R W M Study of concepts related to the provision of nursing care for childbearing families. Topics may include selected complications. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Measurable Learning Outcomes: Explain the roles of the professional nurse in caring for the childbearing family; utilize critical thinking skills and a systematic problem-solving process for providing care for the family during the perinatal periods.
