PSYC 2319 - Social Psychology 3 credit hours. 3 lecture hours. 0 lab hours. Prerequisites: PSYC 2301 Study of individual behavior within the social environment. May include topics such as the socio-psychological process, attitude formation and change, interpersonal relations, and group processes. Measurable Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate knowledge of the function of social thinking as it refers to self-understanding, social beliefs and judgments, behavior, and attitudes. Demonstrate knowledge of the function of social influences as it influences conformity and obedience, persuasion, and group decision making. Demonstrate knowledge of the process of social relations as it influences prejudice, aggression, attraction and intimacy, pro-social behaviors, and conflict resolution. Demonstrate knowledge of the practical application of social psychology concepts to real-life settings, in clinical settings and within the legal system.
