GEOG 1302 - Human Geography 3 credit hours. 3 lecture hours. 0 lab hours. This course introduces students to fundamental concepts, skills and practices of human geography. Place, space and scale, serve as a framework for understanding patterns of human experience. Topics for discussion may include globalization, population and migration, culture, diffusion, political and economic systems, language, religion, gender, and ethnicity Measurable Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate an understanding of key concepts and processes in human geography. Identify how cultural practices shape the landscape. Demonstrate an understanding of human/environment interactions. Describe and explain the importance and impact of globalization.
