CJLE 1132 - Physical Fitness for Law Enforcement1 credit hours. 0 lecture hours. 3 lab hours. Prerequisites: Admission into the Police Academy Corequisites: CJLE 2468 , CJLE 2520 , CJLE 2521 , and CJLE 2522 Addresses personal health and diet, fitness and stress management for law enforcement. Includes development of flexibility, strength, cardiovascular, endurance training and personal fitness evaluation techniques. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times if content varies.
Measurable Learning Outcomes: Explain the importance of personal health, give examples of a healthy diet, describe importance of managing stress through fitness and daily activities, demonstrate exercise techniques designed to improve cardiovascular strength and conditioning relative to age, gender and physical condition and create a personal training plan.
