Please talk to a Temple College advisor about your Temple College graduation and your university-specific transfer courses. Apply for graduation for AS Geosciences. Confirm admission to transfer university, and send final official transcript to transfer university at end of semester.

1 Choose a Mathematics Core Elective from one of the following:
- Math 2412 Pre-Calculus 4 credit hours.
- Math 2413 Calculus 4 credit hours.
Second year Physics course prerequisite will influence this decision.
2 Meet with an academic advisor or department chair to discuss requirement to determine which Physics course/s are required by your transfer university program. University Physics should substitute for College Physics at the transfer university and will keep more options open for the future.
3 Choose a Communications Core elective from one of the following:
- ENGL 1302 Composition 2 3 credit hours.
- ENGL 2311 Technical and Business Writing 3 credit hours.
4 Choose a Mathematics Restrictive Elective from one of the following:
- MATH 2414 Calculus II 4 credit hours.
- MATH 2415 Calculus III 4 credit hours.
Second year physics course prerequisite will influence this decision.
5 Choose from the following Geosciences Restricted Electives.
- ASTR 1304 / 1104 or
- PHYS 1304 / 1104 Solar Systems 3-4 credit hours.
- CHEM 1411 General Chemistry I 4 credit hours.
- CHEM 1412 General Chemistry II 4 credit hours.
- GEOL 1305 / GEOL 1105 or
- ENVR 1301 / 1101 Environmental Science 3-4 credit hours.
- GEOL 1345 Meteorology 3 credit hours.
- GEOL 1347 Oceanography 3 credit hours.
- MATH 2415 Calculus III 4 credit hours.
Credit cannot be received in both cross-listed courses.
Be careful to assure the appropriate number of labs are undertaken.
Individuals are strongly encouraged to consider CHEM 1411 and CHEM 1412.
6 Consider completing Math 2414 Calculus II if you could not take it in the preceding Spring semester or completing the Calculus Sequence by taking MATH 2415 Calculus III. Courses may need to be moved to this semester to accomplish this.
7 Consider taking GOVT 2305 Federal Government or GOVT 2306 Texas Government to free up time in the second Spring semester.
FY Courses will be offered on a continuous basis so that the student can complete them in any Spring or Fall semester.
