LMGT 2459 -  Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) - Theory and Operations

4 credit hours. 3 lab hours. 3 clinical hours.
 A systematic approach to the theory and application of the radio frequency identification (RFID) system. Includes theory of RFID and its operation in a logistical environment as they relate to traffic management, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, packaging, order processing, and materials handling.
Additional Fees: $30 lab fee for consumables
Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Explain the theory of RFID and its functionality; identify the past, present, and future status of the RFID system; explain the concepts of timelines, costs, and potential benefits of utilizing an RFID system in retail, manufacturing, and logistics environments; and utilize RFID systems in a working environment.
