WLDG 2355 -  Advanced Metallurgy

3 credit hours. 2 lecture hours. 2 lab hours.
Advanced study of metallurgy as it applies to fabrication processes. Includes structure, identification, and testing of metals. Also covers temperature changes and their effect on metals, properties of metals, and factors affecting fabrication of various metals.
Additional Fees: $30 lab fee for consumables
Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Identify the structure and properties of metals; describe changes that occur when fabrication processes are performed; demonstrate and interpret various metallurgy tests on various metals; and explain phase diagrams.
