Requirements for an Advanced Technical Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
In order to graduate from Temple College and receive the Advanced Technical Certificate in Sonography, the student must meet the following requirements.
- Have an Associates or Bachelors in Radiologic Technology*
- Have successfully challenged the ARRT boards
- Are in good standing with the ARRT
- Maintained a 2.0 (C) or higher in each course with an overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
- Have an Associate or Bachelor degree in another allied health discipline other than Radiologic Technology that incorporated the following courses into their curriculum:*
- College Algebra
- College Physics
- Composition I
- Anatomy and Physiology I AND Anatomy and Physiology II
- You must have a minimum of a 2.0 (C) in every prerequisite course. A minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (in all courses that apply toward the Diagnostic Medical Sonography prerequisite curriculum) is required for application to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- If you are eligible to sit for an allied health care board exam you must have successfully challenged your boards and be in good standing with the credentialing body.
*If your degree plan did not include a-d listed in #2 you will be required to complete those courses with a minimum of 2.0 (C) and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 prior to being considered for a seat in the DMS program.
In order to graduate from Temple College and receive the Advanced Technical Certificate in Sonography, the student must meet the following requirements.
- Completion of 45 hours of DMS core course credit in the required sequence with a minimum of a 2.0 (C) in each course.
- Completion of the Application for Graduation by deadline date.
