DSAE 1303 - Introduction to Cardiac Sonography Techniques

An introduction to scanning techniques and procedures with hands-on experience in a lab setting. Emphasis is placed on the sonographic evaluation of the normal adult heart.

Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate ergonomic scanning techniques; demonstrate appropriate measurements in each modality; describe a normal cardiac sonogram; and demonstrate patient care and positioning.
