FREN 1411 - Beginning French I

Fundamental skills in listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. Includes basic vocabulary, grammatical structures, and culture.

Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Read and analyze simple French prose covering a variety of topics. Write short paragraphs and/or dialogues based on situational material presented in the French 1411 textbook. Communicate orally in French using clear, coherent and appropriate language directed to or in conversation with both the instructor and classmate. Evidence listening comprehension by analyzing and interpreting various forms of spoken communication such as responding to questions and taking dictation in French.
