INRW 0300 - Integrated Reading and Writing

3 credit hours. 3 lecture hours.
Prerequisites: Appropriate placement test scores: Reading 342-350 or 
ABE level 5 or 6 and Writing 350-362 with essay score of 4
Corequisites: ENGL 1301  
Integration of critical reading and academic writing skills. Successful completion of this intervention if taught at the upper (exit) level fulfills TSI requirements for reading and/or 
writing. 
This course is a mainstreamed intensifier providing contact hours for additional, just-in-time instructional support for the student's success in the English 1301 course.
Measurable Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will: 
Demonstrate knowledge of individual and collaborative writing processes.
Develop ideas with appropriate support and attribution.
Write in style appropriate to audience and purpose.
Read, reflect, and respond critically to a variety of texts.
Use Edited American English in academic essays.
