Meet with Speech department advisor or academic advisor to obtain copy of transfer university degree plan and to determine G.P.A. needed to transfer to university.

Second Semester

Schedule a campus tour with transfer university.

• HIST 1302 - United States History II 3 credit hours.
• Choose from Language, Philosophy, and Culture ** 3 credit hours.
• Choose from Creative Arts 3 credit hours.

• SPCH 1315 - Public Speaking 3 credit hours.  OR
• SPCH 1321 - Business and Professional Communication 3 credit hours. (Can be taken with approval from Speech department advisor.)

Third Semester

Confirm courses for completion of AA degree by meeting with advisor.

Start applying for admission to transfer university.

• Choose from Life and Physical Sciences ** 4 credit hours.
• GOVT 2305 - Federal Government (Federal Constitution and Topics) 3 credit hours.
• SPCH 1318 - Interpersonal Communication 3 credit hours.
• SPAN 1411 - Beginning Spanish I 4 credit hours.

• PSYC 2301 - General Psychology 3 credit hours. ** ¹  OR
• SOCI 1301 - Introductory Sociology 3 credit hours. ** ¹

Fourth Semester

Apply for graduation for AA Speech.

Start applying for admission to transfer university, and send first official transcript to transfer university.

• Choose from Life and Physical Sciences 3 credit hours.
• SPCH 1342 - Voice and Diction 3 credit hours.
• SPAN 1412 - Beginning Spanish II 4 credit hours.
• GOVT 2306 - Texas Government (Texas Constitution and Topics) 3 credit hours. ¹

Total Program Hours: 60

¹ If you cannot take 15-17 hours in the semester, we recommend you take this course in the summer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: AA SPCH students are strongly encouraged to complete the following courses prior to transfer: SPAN 2311  Intermediate Spanish I and SPAN 2312  Intermediate Spanish II.
