DRAM 1120 - Theater Practicum I1 credit hours. 0 lecture hours. 3 lab hours. This is a laboratory course for extensive participation in theater activities. It consists of work in drama for public presentation, backstage work, use of makeup, properties, lighting, and other facets of technical theater. An average of three hours each week or a minimum of forty-eight hours of participation during the semester is required. This course may be repeated for credit. Maximum of 4 credits.
Measurable Learning Outcomes:
- Provide students with exposure to practical applications of theatre production
- Provide students with experience in theatrical crew work, performance, props running, sound and light tech, costume construction, and/or front of house management
- Offer students opportunities to apply academic instruction to the process of actual production
